The Vicks brand temporal/forehead thermometer doesn't work very well. It told us 97.1 and 101 within seconds of each other. I feel like we can't be that bad at using it to where it's that off. However, I do highly recommend a temporal thermometer. Quinn abhors the armpit thermometers, which is what they do at the doctor, of course. And there's no way I'm taking anybody's temperature rectally unless I absolutely have no other choice. They do make a pacifier thermometer and it works well, unless your baby decides that pacifiers aren't cool. Yup, we had that problem. Granted, it's a good thing now because we don't have to worry about weaning her off of it.

The tv show King of the Nerds look absolutely amazing. If it's not and they're all super creepy, at least it'll make me feel better about how nerdy Jarrod is. I think it'll be cute though. I'm also loving this season of Face Off so far. It's a show all about costume make-up and prosthesis and that is some ridiculous talent.

We went to the zoo today (1/19) and in the petting zoo area Quinn freaked out a little bit when all the sheep came up around us, but as soon as she realized they weren't going to attack her she got SO excited. She just started patting and petting them all. A little later we got her some of the pellets to feed the sheep and goats and she was doing really good just taking one and letting them eat it out of her hand, but I was keeping a close eye making sure she didn't eat one. Of course, as soon as I was sure she wouldn't eat it and she only had one left, she tried to put that one in her mouth. I startled her and she started crying, but it was so precious I couldn't help but laugh. She was fine and we let her pet some more sheep and feed some fish to calm her down.
One lady in the petting zoo was petting a sheep and he flinched when she touched his broken horn. She says "Oh, he doesn't like when I touch his horn. Look!" and touched it again. Like, really lady? Rude.

I really want to organize and clean our apartment. It still seems like we're in a transitional phase with a few boxes and piles and random furniture. It's annoying, but I feel like I'd need someone to take Quinn for a week straight and not do anything but eat and clean for it to get done. Honestly, I just want a house already.

We went to the park today (1/28) because it was 70F (IN JANUARY!) and as we were leaving we decided to feed the duckies with our leftover sandwich bread. I'm sitting on the grass next to Quinn throwing pieces, when she holds her hand out. Jarrod and I are all like "aw, how cute" and "she wants to throw it too" and so I hand her a piece and it goes straight to her mouth. We just busted up laughing.

Ahhh. We took my niece to the petting zoo a bit ago and she started out petting all of the goats and lambs. And then she pulled on all of their tails. Hard. We were kicked out.

I agree on the thermometer, and I am SO sad that we missed the beginning of King of the Nerds! I MUST set my DVR for the rest.
We were huge fans of "Beauty and the Geek" - remember that one? It was so awesome, and I have high hopes that this one will be just as good.
